Another arrest for Taskforce Maxima

Twenty charges laid over drug haul

A man's facing multiple drug and stolen property offences after anti-bikie police raided a Surfers Paradise address yesterday.

Detectives from Taxforce Maxima carried out a search warrant on a Wahroonga Place property on Wednesday, where they allegedly found ice, MDMA pills, drug paraphernalia and items used to make fake IDs.

A 52-year-old will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.

He's been charged with twenty offences all up including drug possession, forgery, burglary, stealing and unlawful use of a motor-vehicle.

Detective Inspector Philip Stevens from Taskforce Maxima said the arrest is yet another demonstration of the taskforce's continue commitment to stamping out gang related activity.

"If you mix in that environment you will come to our attention and swift action will be taken," he warned.
