Sea World crews have managed to free two whales from shark nets off Miami this morning.
The humpback and her calf got stuck around 5am, with a member of the public alerting authorities.
Rescue crews rushed out and managed to cut them loose around 7:30, although it was a bit tough with the protective mum trying to keep rescuers away from her baby.
A rescue operation is underway off Miami Beach this morning after two whales got trapped in shark nets.
Sea World crews are at the scene, about 200m offshore, trying to cut the mum and calf free.
Police were alerted by a member of the public just before 5am.
It comes just one day after that false alarm of a whale supposedly trapped in a net off Broadbeach yesterday.
