Two women were allegedly threatened by a man armed with armed with a gun and wearing a motorcycle helmet as they left work at a Highland Park tavern last night.

Police say the pair noticed a man in a motorbike helmet as they made their way to their car at around 10.30pm at the business on Alexander Drive. He then approached the vehicle as they were driving out of the car park, pulled out a gun and pointed it towards them.

The women fled the scene in the car, while the man fled on foot.

The man is described as having an athletic build and was wearing a red hooded jumper, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black motorcycle helmet at the time of the incident.
