CEO for the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder - John Walker said, “During the past few months, over 1200 locals, business owners, visitors and investors told us what was needed to bring life back to the City Centre’s main streets and public spaces. We’ve been hard at work translating those ideas and feedback into a vision for the future, considering current performance and future potential of the City. What we have now is a draft plan for how the City Centre may be used and how investment and amenities will attract people to key destinations. But it’s not the end, there’s still a lot of planning to do and a lot of things to consider. This phase of the consultation is now about the community telling us if the preliminary plans we have developed are on the right track so we can further consider and refine the detail ahead of the design process.”
