An incident at the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder mining operator Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mine has occured today. A release from KCGM follows: 

KCGM is deeply saddened to advise that a 56-year-old contractor’s employee passed away at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital this morning after collapsing on site. While the cause of death is still under examination, initial information indicates possible natural causes.
“On behalf of all of KCGM’s workforce and partners we extend our deepest condolences to the man’s family, friends and colleagues,” said KCGM General Manager Ian Butler.
KCGM and contractor personnel have been notified and offered counselling.
WA Police and the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety were immediately notified and are investigating the incident.
