This morning the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder announce that Hilton Hotels will be the operator for a Resort to be built at the Kalgoorlie Golf Course.

The development - at $22 Million would bring a world class brand to the Goldfields with the resort to be operated under the Hilton subsidiary - Double Tree.

The resort set to boast 120 Rooms, Pool, Day Spa, Function Facilities and more will also include finally a permanent home for the Goldfields Golf Club. Since the Golf Course opened the construction of a home for the Club has been an ongoing one with the Club withholding fees to the CKB until a they could be located in a true home. The current clubhouse is a demountable property.

Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler added “Since being elected Mayor I have maintained a focus on achieving what council set out to do many years ago. I see this as a significant contribution to our liveability.”

The Double Tree by Hilton brand is a full service category, offering a 24/7 service to patrons. Started in Scottsdale Arizona in 1969 there are now over 510 Double Tree by Hilton operated hotels in the world. There are currently 4 Double Tree by Hilton operated hotels in Australia, with an additional one being constructed in Perth, set to be opened in 2020. The Kalgoorlie Golf Course Resort is expected to be completed in late 2019.
