New Chair of Goldfields Children Charity

The Goldfields Children Charity has a new Chair. Elected last Tuesday Night, 2015 Citizen of the Year - Martin Cable takes the reign of the Ball and Committee.

Cable has been involved with the committee for the last six years and enjoys the way that the committee and community can give back to the Goldfields sick children and families. "You sit back and think - Wow.... The community has just raised over $320,000" said Cable. "The bonus out of everything is that the committee work together so well - everyone assists and its a massive team event"

Plans are already well and truly in place for the massive Social Event  2018 but in true committee style gave nothing "We are looking at themes already.... and how to keep it under wraps"

Cable also takes over from Kalgoorlie Boulder McDonald's Licensee Scott Gunson, who has seen several initiatives for the Goldfields Children Charity including the Kalgoorlie City Football Club Gold Game and Golden Ticket raffle for a table at the Ball. "He (Scott) has done an amazing effort - they are some big shoes to fill there" Cable reflected.
