After a stellar season playing in 15 of 16 Season Games, Boulder City Football Club Centre Half Forward Scott Worthington is the 2017 Mitchell Medalist. 

Polling 41 votes to take out the award from Boulder City team mate Brett Hill on 37 Votes and Jordan Wythes from Mines Rovers on 35. 

The win capped off a massive local season for Worthington which included representing the Goldfields at the Landmark Football Championships in Perth and Merredin, Winning the Jock Beattie Medal for the Best in the Division at the Championship, Captaining the WA State Country Team in a win against South Australia and the Kalgoorlie Miner Footballer of the Year award.

That's not all for the popular Boulder Forward, he also added the Dick Robinson Medal for his 56 Goals for Season 2017. Worthington will now Captain the Tigers in the GFL Second Semi Final on Saturday against Mines Rovers.
