Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving two cars on Wednesday.

Occurring at the intersection of Johnson and Swallow Streets in Shepparton, a van and Range Rover were the two vehicles involved. 

4 people were in the van at the time of the incident, with 2 women and a teenager requiring hospital treatment.

The incident occurred just before 4pm, with police investigating.

Police are appealing to the public, looking for help in locating Callen Smith.

The 27-year-old is wanted on traffic, assault and drug related offences.

He’s known to frequent the Shepparton area. Anyone who sees the man is urged to contact Crimestoppers.

A new report from rare cancers Australia has been detailed at a conference in the Nation’s Capital.

The report looks into workable solutions that government and industry are being urged to adopt sooner rather than later.

Richard Vines, founder and chairman of rare cancers Australia says funding for a range of rare cancers is extremely underrepresented.

The Campaspe Shire is issuing grants of up to $1 thousand for organisations supporting seniors, as part of councils plan to build strong and engaged communities.

Programs funding events aimed at the increasing health, wellbeing and social connectedness of older citizens will be prioritised.

Applications are now open, closing on August 28.

It's world Photography day on August 19, with Winton wetlands holding a shoot and share competition in the lead up to the event.

Amateur photographers are being encouraged to take snaps capturing the essence of the wetlands, themes being renew, connect and discover.

The winning snap will be announced on August 21.

Round 16 of GV Netball continues this weekend, and two games having been played last weekend with the other three this Saturday.

An important game for Mooroopna and the Shepp Swans, with the two sides battling over spots at the bottom of the top six.

They're attempting to keep sides like Euroa at bay, who'll have to travel to face bottom of the table Mansfield.

Lastly is the clash between Benalla and Rochester, with the home side looking favorites to take the win.
