Mooroopna police are looking for help to identify the driver of a car that evaded police on Tuesday.

Police attempted to intercept the driver of a Nissan Pulsar on the Midland Highway around 11am, however the driver instead performed a U turn and drove off in a dangerous manner.

Police allege the car was a gold colour, anyone with information can contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Goulburn Valley's Campaspe Shire has continued it’s conversation with the Andrews Labour Government.

The Loddon Campaspe Regional Assembly will soon kick off, following a constructive consultation period with the community.

The Partnership has seen workshops held in Echuca and across the region, with top priorities previously identified as the improvement of digital connectivity and rail services.

This year’s Loddon Campaspe Regional Assembly will be held on August 17 in Bendigo.

Victoria's Auditor General reports there's hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of maintenance to be done on the V/line network.

The audit reveals an 88% increase to passengers carried during the 2015-16 period; a total of 18 million people.

The Auditor General says challenges faced over the past decade have not been dealt with successfully. However, the report does state V/Line now has the knowledge needed to deal with operational and performance issues.

It’s National Science Week, with several events taking place around the region the community encouraged to get involved.

One such event will be taking place at the Echuca Primary school, with a whole school Lego show case encouraging students to create their vision of the future.

Jackie Randall-- Manager of the Inspiring Australia Program says the week provides a great chance to learn more about science and how it affects us.

Shepparton racing driver Garry Jacobsen has had his contributions to the sport recognised, named the 2016 Philip Island Auto Racing Club Competitor of the year.

Jacobsen has been a part of the club since 2009, and last year won his first Supercars Super 2 championship.

The award hasn't slowed him down though, now fully focused on the weekends Sydney Supersprint at Eastern Creek.
