Mental illness in Australia Mental illness is very common. One in five Australians aged 16-85 experience a mental illness in any year. The most common mental illnesses are depressive, anxiety and substance use disorder.

With these stats it is obvious that we need to address the issue head on and start talking about it. Especially when it comes to our hard working farmers who can't get to professional help as easy as some one in town.

The importance of mental health and supporting one another is being recognised today as part of World Mental Health Week, with WAFarmers encouraging people to take care of each other now more than ever.
