It really was an amazing turnout for the 2017 Yealering Markets and Regatta as the small town of Yealering grew by around 10 times in population. The weather was great which helped contribute to the estimated 1000 people that came through the town over the Saturday. The visitors were spoiled for choice of things to do with face painting, paddle boarding, 25 market stalls, fireworks and a live band.
Being the the first Regatta at the lake since 1990 no one really knew who big the response would be but this now looks like an annual event to put in the calendar.
"From the sounds of it everyone had fun. There was such a massive effort that went into the boats, we had over 25 boats" - Jodie from the Wickepin CRC
