A 21-year-old Bridgewater man has been arrested following dangerous driving between Bridgewater and Berriedale.
Police have been conducting an ongoing police investigation and the man was detected driving a motor vehicle and in order to avoid apprehension drove in a dangerous manner throughout the Bridgewater, Glenorchy and Berriedale areas.
“The man drove a white Ford Falcon, registration number FG6234, with contempt for other road users and pedestrians,” said Detective Sergeant Michael Foster.
“There were two incidents where the man drove directly into oncoming traffic along the Brooker Highway putting other motorists at continued risk of serious injury.”
“Police used road spikes to stop the vehicle in Berriedale and the driver was arrested and conveyed to Hobart Police Station for additional enquiries to be conducted.”
The man will face a number of charges in relation to driving offences.
