Hobart's CBD is getting extra parking from Friday
City of Hobart resident will have access to a brand new car park, located on Melville Street From Friday 6 July.
The biggest single-level car park in the area, will have 102 spots and is located on the second level of the University of Tasmania’s National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) building.
The car park has been built as a public parking facility to replace the former City of Hobart car park that was on the site.
Customers can enter the car park through Melville Street, near the corner of Elizabeth Street. It will be operated as a three-hour time limit, voucher car park.
New parking meters accept credit and debit cards as well as cash and produce vouchers to place on the dashboard of a car with the cost $2.00 per hour. The car park is patrolled by the City of Hobart Parking and Information Officers.

9.00 am – 4.00 pm on Saturday.
Closed on Sunday.
