Minister Issues deadline warning

Glenorchy Council Given Seven days
Tasmanian Local Government Minister, Peter Gutwein, has put Glenorchy Councillors on notice that they have 7 days before he will decide if he will suspend them or not.

In a letter to Glenorchy Council. The Minister says that “the people of Glenorchy and the Tasmanian community in general deserve better than this” referring to what he says is a view that “Council is not functioning as it should” and he wants a written explanation as to why he shouldn’t suspend them and appoint a commissioner.
