Tasmania Emergency Services combined forces today to rescue a climber in South Hobart.
Tasmania Police, Tasmania Fire Service, and Ambulance Tasmania members today extracted and carried an injured rock climber from bushland.
The injured man was located around 1pm when a passer-by heard his cries for help, climbed up the embankment and phoned for emergency assistance.
On arrival, emergency service personal located the man with a compound fracture to his lower leg and in significant pain.
The man was treated by Ambulance Tasmania paramedics before members from all three agencies extracted and carried him to an Ambulance waiting below which conveyed him to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Tasmania Police said they wanted to "thank the people who assisted the man initially and called for emergency service assistance."
