Tasmania's culinary scene is boosting the state's international reputation.
Our state was named in the top 52 places to visit in 2018 by the New York Times. The list is compiled by nytimes after asking regular contributors, many of whom live overseas or roam the globe, for ideas. From the hundreds received they are narrowed down to the Top 52.
Described as "a devilish island attracting Australia's best chefs", Tasmania ranks at number 33 on the prestigious list.

Hobart's Franklin restaurant and Dier Makr along with New Norfolk's Agrarian Kitchen are named as some of the best eateries in the state.
The Northern Territory was the only other Australian state to make the cut, in at #12.
