THE FUTURE OF TASSIE CRUISE SHIPS UNDER QUESTION
The Tasmanian Tourism Industry Council has called for a discussion regarding the future of cruise ships visiting the state.

Leading tourism developer Simon Currant says that the docking in Hobart Harbour is a brand wrecker for the state.

While head of the Tourism Industry Council, Luke Martin has questioned whether the ships should be visiting heritage areas such as Port Arthur.

Questions on how the visitors are affecting the state's infrastructure have also been raised, with the tourism sector saying an approach is needed to look at how non locals are moving around the state
