The Department of Planning, Training and Infrastructure (DPTI) will commence road works on the intersection of Riddoch Highway and Wandilo Forest Road today.
The stretch of road forms part of the State's B Double Higher Mass Limit heavy vehicle network, with the works hoped to significantly improve the safety of the intersection for all road users.
The upgrades will provide dedicated right and left turn lanes and adequate pavement to allow B-Double vehicles to use the intersection safely.
Construction will work to improve safety for transport to and from the nearby pine plantations and Van Schaiks Bio Gro.
The works will continue until April, weather permitting.
Drivers are being urged to adhere to all changed traffic conditions, with speed limits in place.
