The East Gambier Sportsman Club is set to see an upgrade, after a funding boost from the Coalition Government.
The Stronger Communities Programme works to provide funds to not for profit organisations for small capital projects that improve community facilities, and ultimately strengthen the community.
The initiative has provided a $13,636 grant for the locals.
The funds will be put towards the installation of rainwater tanks, run new storm waters, pumps, and a filtration system that will see filtered rainwater to all taps and showers.
Barker MP Tony Pasin has welcomed the funding, after the locals worked through an application.
Mr Pasin says we all need to be mindful of our water consumption and sporting clubs that incur the costs of maintaining ovals are obviously big water users.
