Speed limits to be slashed across the state

Roads across the Limestone Coast will be sporting new speed signs by the end of the year - as a part of a government initiative to increase the safety of motorists and reduce the rate of casualty.

The Riddoch Highway and Carpenter Rocks Roads and Clay Wells road are three of eight rural roads across the State to have their speed limits changed from 110 to 100 kilometres per hour.

The roads have been chosen due to their crash history - and exclude major traffic and freight routes.
