Two deliberately lit fires over the past two nights

Police are investigating two deliberately lit fires over the past two nights at a house at Nangwarry.

Just past midnight on Sunday 27 May police and fire crews attended the house on Ritchie Street following reports of a house fire.

When crews arrived, they found the house alight as well as a car at the rear of the property. The blaze was extinguished but had caused significant damage to both the home and car.

Police were called back to the property just before 12.30am on Monday 28 May following reports of a second fire at the home.  Fire crews extinguished the blaze however the house was completely destroyed.  No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Fire Cause Investigators will re-attend the home this morning to examine the circumstance surrounding both fires. At this time it appears that the incidents are not considered random.
