Walking petition presented to candidates

The Limestone Coast Protection Alliance will be meeting with candidates for the State election this week, presenting a walking petition.

Over 2000 signatures have been collected, showing community opposition against gas fields.

The group hope the banners will demonstrate that there is support for the cause across the country, with residents from gas fields in Queensland and New South Wales lending their names to the cause.

The organisation has confirmed that whatever candidates are elected, the LCPA will continue to fight for a full ban.

The petition will be presented to candidates at the Cave Gardens tomorrow in the form of large yellow banners.
