In addition to photographs for the Wattle Range Council calendar, Council is looking for two photographs to star at each end of the Millicent bypass.

Photographers are being asked to enter a special category in the Wattle Range Photographic Competition and Exhibition to replace the images on picture signage on Mount Gambier and Adelaide roads.

Mayor Peter Gandolfi said Council is looking for iconic images that depict the great places to visit in Millicent.

“A postcard perfect image is what Council is looking for to replace the tired and ageing entrance sign images,” said Mr Gandolfi.

“The competition is a perfect opportunity for locals to showcase their talents and the town,” Mr Gandolfi said.

“Entries in this category will have the opportunity to not only have their photographs featured in the Community Calendar but also on the signs that welcome people into the town.

“Images should showcase not only what makes Millicent a ‘must’ for tourists to visit but also what the locals love about their home town.”

Photographs need to be in full colour and horizontal/landscape in orientation. The winning entry will receive a prize of $250.

Competition entries in all ten categories are open until June 19 and details, including forms and conditions of entry, are available from the Council website at www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au or the Millicent Library.
