A car and motorbike have collided on the Peak Downs Highway overnight -- putting a man in hospital with leg pain. Ambos' receiving the call to attend the scene at around 8.

 

Child and family services are being boosted in North Queensland. There's already eight new child safety staff on the ground with around 34 on the way over the next two years. The State Government releasing a review on the operation of the state’s Child Safety system yesterday.

While our Mackay hospitals are benefitting from more than new 100 staff members thanks to the Palaszczuk Government’s nursing and midwifery recruitment program. More and 34 hundred new graduates taking up roles around the state in the past two financial years.

AND the Whitsunday Brahmans rugby league boys are looking for a win over the Wests Tigers tomorrow. It’s the grand final and the Wests are feeling confident after securing a 26 point win over Souths last weekend.
