Police are looking for a 40-year-old man who was last seen at an address in Sarina and is reported missing from Mount Sheridan. No one's seen Neil Lewis since about 2 on Monday afternoon when he was seen in a white Toyota Hilux. Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to come forward.

A Sniffer dog has allegedly helped to find the driver that reportedly fled the scene of a single vehicle crash in Paget. It happened yesterday afternoon on Connors Road when the car lost control, shot through the bush and rolled. Police allege the driver was found in a nearby cane paddock.

Kelly Hu will be the international guest star at this year’s Sugar City Con event in August. The actress is currently recurring on the series Arrow, as China White and has appeared as Pearl on the hit TV series Vampire Diaries.

The former Retreat Hotel at Epsom is set to be transformed into a drug rehab centre. It's got the green light from council, but only just. The Mercury reports it got through with five votes to four.

This week is responsible gambling awareness week. Mackay MP Julieanne Gilbert says it's time to have a chat abour it with research suggesting the problems higher for people aged 15 to 17 than for adults as a whole.

 

Cruise Whitsundays will recommence services departing from Shute Harbour today. Since Tropical Cyclone Debbie in March services have been running from the Port of Airlie.

A weekend is on the cards for the South’s Leagues club. They're celebrating 73 years and two-time premiership winner Robbie O’Davis will be their guest speaker at the formal lunch on Saturday. Jessica Alnajjar from the club says the celebrations will continue over three days.

 

Outrigger Whitsunday's is making their mark, after hosting round four of the North Queensland Zone outrigger regatta series. They took out a few wins, including the 12km open men's OC6.
