Police arrest and charge a former REBELS office bearer for money laundering and fraud in Mackay. The 44 year old man from Emerald allegedly held senior positions with two chapters of the Rebels in Central Queensland. He will face Townsville Magistrate Court next month

Mackay welcomes a new Mercedes Printer Alliance. The two hundred and thirty five thousand dollar vehicle providing first class healthcare to the community. Having undergone extensive conversion it allows paramedics to provide emergency pre-hospital care to those in need. The Premier unveils the new Police Communications Centre in Mackay. 

The $800,000 facility allowing residents to speak to a local when calling in for help. The 20 staff at the new Centre are responsible for an area that extends to Bowen, The Whitsunday Islands, Middlemount and St Lawrence

The last of the Oyster Yacht Rally boats set sail into Mackay waters this week. 18 boats in total making up the around the world rally as it cruises to Australia. Mackay Marina Village's Ben Anderson says this isn’t the only yacht rally to come here

Nominations are now open for the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network awards which will be held in Mackay in September.
