9 News has obtained Federal Government figures showing how much money the government plans to chip in to local schools, showing big funding disparity between different schools in the region.

 

Ball Bay residents are up in arms, worried their peaceful lifestyle is about be ruined by a new private airstrip.

 

It's been ten years since Mackay was swallowed up in floodwaters. The 2008 floods are remembered as a tragedy which came out of nowhere, but on which united the town.
