A postman has been transported to Mackay Base Hospital after a collision. He was hit by a car on Holland Street yesterday afternoon. The man was treated on scene for non-life threatening injuries before being transported in a stable condition. Two people have had a lucky escape following a truck crash South of Mackay. A truck crashed on the Bruce Highway at Alligator Creek around 11 yesterday morning. The pair managed to pull themselves from the rolled vehicle when it came to rest on its side blocking one lane. They received no injuries and crews worked quickly to clear the scene

Ponga going in the records book as the youngest ever player to pick up the honour. RLPA chief executive Ian Prendegast says to have the 20 year old voted as the best player by his peers shows what time of talent the Knights have in their ranks
