$1.3million has been spent on a luxury Mackay property in what is the highest residential sale of the year so far, the Daily Mercury reports. Ray White Mackay City selling principal Chris Laval said the sale of 58 Palm Ridge Drive had gone 'unconditional'. It has 300-degree views of its rural and coastal surroundings and was on the market for just 41 days before the sale. It's said to be the most expensive home to sell since the start of 2018. Airlie Beach will see some extra tourism over the next week, with the Pacific Dawn, Voyager of the Seas and Sea Princess all docking. It comes as the last major influx of cruise ships for some time and the passengers will be met by volunteer ambassadors. Coordinator of the Volunteer Ambassador Program Brian Richardson says the community is extremely supportive of the ambassadors.
