Mackay Police are seeking public assistance to locate two men involved in an attempted burglary. The men attempting to break in to the front shed at a home on Florence Street in Eimeo around midnight March 14. The pair attempting but failing to cut power to the shed and the CCTV system. Moving on they struggled for several minutes to remove a lock from the door by force. Growing agitated they gave up fleeing on foot. If you have any information call Policelink

Mackay and The Whitsundays finally have good news about the Lindeman Island Resort. It's been given the green light to be restored, creating jobs and bringing tourists to the region. Whitsundays M-P Jason Costigan says it's come at a great time.
