A Mackay man faces charges over a two car fatal crash. The incident occurred in November last year when the two cars hit each other head on. The sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 53 year old man, died at the scene. The 17 year old driver of the other car was taken to hospital in a stable condition. The man was charged on Tuesday and will face court later this month

Fraud charges for a former All Metal Solutions employee. The woman faced Mackay Magistrates Court yesterday for allegedly forging invoices for over four years at the company. In that time she received just over $1.5M She will reappear in court early next month

Tigerair Australia has pulled its flights from the Whitsundays to Brisbane. The airline says it’s part of their fleet transition program - with the route suspended from March 1. Flights from Sydney into the airport Are continuing. Brian Joiner from Whitsunday Coast Airports says they're keen to see them back in full operation.

The Mackay community's encouraged to tough it out and take part in this weekend's Warrior Endurance event. It's happening over 24 hours at the Warrior Centre, raising money for cancer sufferers and cancer research. Director Luke Goodale knows all too well the struggles of cancer, diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in 2008. He says he saw a gap in the market to launch his charity.

Hoping to bolster their squad Magpies Crusaders United are on the hunt for two new players. The team suffered an agonizing defeat at the hands of more experienced team Olympic Football Club. With their Captain sidelined after a red card in the 90th minute, and two players lost to injury the additions are hoped to bring the squad to victory
