Council will visit Pioneer Valley to catch up with residents. The Council in Community Day including a day-long agenda of briefings and meetings tomorrow. The first chance for residents to get involved will be at the Eungella Memorial Hall from 10-11. With two catch up sessions in the afternoon at Finch Hatton RSL from 2 and Gargett CWA Hall from 3:30

InvestSMART is travelling to Mackay. The automated financial advice platform presenting a series of investment forums to provide free advice on how to grow wealth. Hosted at the Clarion Hotel on Marina View tomorrow from 10am. In attendance will be InvestSMART CEO Ron Hodge, and Analysts Mitchell Sneddon and Alex Hughes

IT'S WAGYU WEEK in Mackay. There's plenty of events for locals to attend. Mayor of Mackay Regional Council Greg Williamson says this year's WAGYU WEEK is expected to be a success.

Stallholder applications are open for the 20-18 C-Q University Village Festival. Preference will be given to stallholders who align with the Festival's sustainability aims. The deadline is Friday May 18 with successful applicants contacted in June

Mackay Cutters Coach Steve Sheppard is disappointed and frustrated after another defeat. The coach saying the skill level is down but the majority is mental with the team having no belief or go at the moment
