One Rockhampton prison escapee has been caught, while the others been caught in a dramatic arrest in Mackay. Brett Tapim caught near a residence in Oakenden near Sarina yesterday afternoon around 3:30. Police still searching for Jermaine Anderson. 

Airlie Beach and Cannonvale residents were kept wondering what a buzzing sound was. An RACQ rescue saving a man from Cedar Creek Falls who’d broken his ankle. The incident happening around midnight on Sunday night. A 29 year old man discharged from hospital on Monday morning 

A would be thief's failed to steal cash out of an A-T-M in Mackay. He's been spotted running to a silver three door hatch, after damaging a teller machine on Mackay Bucasia Road. Police are urging anyone who saw the skinny, dark brown haired man on Saturday around midnight to contact them.

Mackay is one of the largest regions in QLD with 83.4% of adults now being overweight or obese. To help create a healthier lifestyle we spoke to Cancer Council QLD CEO Chris McMilan stressed the importance of being aware of what you consume.
