BoM to cut jobs.
There are fears weather forecasting will become less accurate across the region as the Bureau of Meterology moves to cut North Queensland jobs. Member for Whitsunday Jason Costigan says having local knowledge is imperative for the cyclone season.

Partly cloudy. Medium chance of showers, most likely in the late morning and afternoon. Winds E/NE 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn then becoming E/NE 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching 23 to 30.
