Mackay Regional Council donate a Beach Wheelchair to All Abilities Mackay. The Sandcruiser will be available to locals through the All Abilities library of therapy aids, equipment and toys. At over $4,000 the chair is something that wouldn't often be affordable for residents. It's designed to use on the beach with marine grade components and all terrain shock absorbing wheels. Councilor Ross Gee saying if the Chair is popular there is scope to donate more

NSW company Supagas lodges a development application to Mackay Regional Council. Looking to open an LPG depot on John Vella Drive in Paget. The distribution facility aiming to service the gas needs of homes and industries in the region. The site looking to store, fill and distribute LPG cylinders and other industrial gas products

CQ University Theatre students are rehearsing in Mackay for their first production of 2018, Sweet Charity. The production will light up the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music theatre from tomorrow until Sunday. Director of Central Queensland Conservatorium of music at CQ University Judith Brown says students will be performing a musical comedy.

A week of reasonable petrol prices in Mackay has been short lived, the cost at the bowser jumping to around $1.50, the spike again sparking calls for reform.

Team Macktown wants your help to get them over the line in The Kokoda Challenge. The Youth Program hosting an 8 course meal at Kevin's Place on Victoria Street to raise money for the trek. The event will kick off at 6:30 Saturday night at just fifty five dollars a head

Mackay Gridiron will celebrate in style this weekend. The first annual player awards gala hosted at the Mackay Sporting Club Friday night. The black tie red carpet event providing platters and a buffet dinner
