You'd think if someone was aiming to steal something from a bar, it would be alcohol. Not for these not-so-thirsty thieves who entered a licensed premises on Main Street in Proserpine shortly after 1am on September 29, stealing 20 beer mats!

The beer mats were branded with “Prince of Wales”, “Tooheys”, “Victoria Bitter” and several other local businesses.

Police say this is not the first time that the business has been targeted in this fashion.
While we can't possibly comprehend why anyone would wish to steal 20 beer mats, anyone with information about the location of the stolen beer mats or the offence itself is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible via Policelink on 131 444 or by using the online form.
You can also report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
