Kidtastic School Holiday activities - Caneland Central (all weekend)

Caneland Central has gone back in time to the Ice Age when Woolly Mammoths roamed the Centre and Sabre Toothed Tigers snarled showing its long canine teeth. Travel through the Centre and discover the Glyptodont and Dilophosaurus, plus more prehistoric creatures of the ice. Complete the Scavenger Hunt through the Centre to receive a FREE* Frozen colouring in book. Go Blue For Autism Fundraiser - Denman Cellars Beer Cafe (Sunday)

Denman Beer Cafe and Vartamana Spa are joining forces for a day of raising funds for Queensland Autism. Pirate Life Brewing have generously donated a keg of fine craft ale, with all proceeds to go to the great work Queensland Austism does. Lots more going on including Live Music with the Legend Mike Duff. It's on Sunday at midday.

Troppo Markets - Mth Pleasant Shopping Centre (Sunday)

Out of the sun and out of the rain, the Troppo Markets are always popular. It’s on at Mount Pleasant Shopping Centre carpark on the second Sunday of the month from 7.30am until midday. Mackay’s Troppo Treasure Market will keep you coming back with a never-ending variety of items for sale and plenty of entertainment and amusements too. It’s more than just shopping… it turns a Sunday into a fun day.

In Winter Green - Lagoons Cafe (all weekend)

This exhibition ‘In Winter Green’ is an oxymoron of the artist’s seasonal expectations between Australia and Korea. As a consequence, the artist wanted to depict the vertical tropical forests, create a sense of awe which comforts and envelopes you as you enter a place where trees reach for the skies and ferns grow in abundance, the air hangs still in the tranquillity of time. It is the tropical rainforests, where In Sun has found inspiration in the ‘incredible beauty of nature and in particular, North Queensland’.

Kid's learn to ride clinics - GoWake Cable Park (Sunday)

Ever wanted to learn the sport of Cable Wakeboarding? Then our special Kids only Squad is for you. Run every Sunday morning you can learn how to Wakeboard and Kneeboard in a safe, controlled environment. The machine is run slower, all your equipment, comprehensive safety briefing and expert coaching is provided. We even have someone to help you walk your boards back around the lake. The one hour session is $30pp. The session is capped at 15 participants 6-14yrs

Crazy threads, wools & fibre - Artspace Mackay (all weekend)

These Easter holidays, no matter your age, bring your friends and family to Artspace for lots of colourful fun, texture and craft in the Crazy threads, wools and fibre room. Add to the weaving wall, try your hand at string art, wrap objects with wools, or make your own pom poms & tassels to add to the collaborative display. Stay for a few minutes or a few hours, it’s free for all, no bookings necessary. (Parental supervision for children under 13 required.)

Souths Sharks vs Whitsunday Brahmans - Shark Park (Sunday)

It's round 3 in the Mackay District Rugby League with Souths at home to the Whitsunday Brahmans. The under 19's kick off at 1:30pm Sunday with the A grade match starting at 5pm. Shark Park is next to Souths Leagues Club, on Milton St South Mackay.

Sarina Sugar Shed - Sarina (all weekend)

Sarina Sugar Shed tours are a delight for all ages! On the tour you will see the special miniature sugar processing and distilling equipment that has been sourced from all over the world! Along with the processing mill, there are multimedia presentations, souvenir shop, picnic areas, easy parking and wheelchair-friendly access. Tours run at 9.30am, 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

Go bowling - Mackay Leisure Centre (all weekend)

Why not get the kids out of the house and take them bowling? Forget about the old wooden lanes, Mackay Leisure Centre now have the synthetic lanes which have glowing strips for a bit more fun. Bumper Bowling is always fun for the smaller kids too.
