Bus Company Charged Over Montague Street Bridge Crash Channel Seven

A transport company has been charged following a crash at Melbourne's notorious Montague Street Bridge that peeled the roof off a bus and hospitalised 10 passengers and the driver.

Victoria's transport safety regulator charged Bacchus Marsh Coaches on Wednesday, saying the operator should have known the risk of driving under the often-hit, low-clearance bridge.

The bus, carrying conference delegates, triggered height sensors and set off flashing warning lights before the bus smashed into the bridge on February 22, 2016, peeling off its roof like a sardine tin.
