Massive rainfall in the north and north-eastern parts of Victoria has led to record rainfall for four different towns in the region.
Echuca, on the central border with NSW, copped 123mm of rain in the 24 hours until 9am today, a record for a single day’s rainfall.
Strathbogie’s 164.6mm of rain was also a daily record, as was Euroa’s 146mm.
Lake Eildon a bit further south was on the receiving end of 148.6mm, another record.
All four places had previous records that had stood for over a century.
The massive storms come amid severe weather warnings across most of the state, with Melbourne seeing some localised flooding as well.
