Four Reportedly Hospitalised After Car Hits Pedestrians In Melbourne’s CBD

Four people have been hospitalised after an accident in Melbourne's CBD.

An Uber driver was reportedly attempting a hook turn at the intersection of William and La Trobe Streets and was struck by a second vehicle.

Multiple pedestrians were hit on the crossing, including children.

The police released the following statement:

"Police and emergency services are currently in William street in the CBD after a two vehicle collision near Latrobe Street just after 3.45pm.

"It is believed two cars have collided and one has lost control hitting four pedestrians.

"One adult has serious but non-life threatening injuries, a second adult and two children have minor injuries.

"The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined but it is being treated as accidental.

"Anyone who witnesses the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000."
