They may have shot dead the wrong person!

That's the new line of enquiry for police who are investigating last month's deadly hit on a 22-year old man in Keysborough.

Police are looking at links with the Comancheros bikie gang, with their focus now on a bungled hit on the wrong guy, in the wrong house.

Herald sun reports suggest Muhammed "Mo" Yucel was playing a video game with mates on May 2, before being shot dead in the driveway of his home, in a devastating case of mistaken identity.

Investigators believe the gunmen meant to kill a former Mongols MC bikie, who lived in a similar-looking house in Church street.

It was initially thought Mo’s death could have stemmed from a fight over a girl but they have now turned their attention to organised crime gangs.

Detectives believe members of the Comanchero MC organised the hit that night, which also left two of his friends wounded.

Victoria Police confirmed anti-bikie detectives from Echo Taskforce raided a house on Church Rd on May 9.

A 26-year old was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of proceeds of crime, and possession of steroids and other prescription medications.

It appears the shooter has still not been found though.
