Gary Ablett has confirmed he has strained his right hamstring.
Scans have confirmed a right hamstring strain for the Geelong star, with the club not yet setting a return date.
Ablett believes he will miss "a few weeks" of action.
“The scans are as expected and I will be out for a few weeks with a hamstring strain,” he told Geelong's website.
“I will do everything I can to rehab the injury and get back out there. Obviously it is disappointing to miss playing the next few games with the team, but it is a long season and we are all positive that this will be a minor setback.”
