The outskirts of Geelong were woken up by a earthquake early this morning.
The 3.0 magnitude quake was centred about 25-30km west of Geelong at 3.11am, near Inverleigh.
Geoscience Australia said the tremor could be felt around 23km away.
Victorian emergency services have not received any reports of damage or injury, but residents as far away as Corio and Lara were woken up.
Vic Emergency has advised residents in Bannockburn, Buckley, Gnarwarre, Hesse, Inverleigh, Murgheboluc, Ombersley, Shelford, Teesdale, Winchelsea to monitor local conditions and remain alert.
They said that damaging aftershocks could occur and reminded residents to turn off household power, gas and water supplies if any damage has occurred.
Vic Emergency also stressed to only call Triple Zero if the emergency is life-threatening.
