Victoria's State Emergency Service received 113 calls for assistance across the state in the past 24 hours, The Age reports.
The strongest wind gusts were 95km/h at Wilsons Promontory, 89 km/h at Cape Otway and 82 km/h at Cape Nelson.
A severe weather warning has been issued for most of Victoria, with gale warnings issued for several coastal areas.
