Collingwood legend Rene Kink was dubbed the Incredible Hulk in his playing days by Lou Richards, and he threw his weight around in an interview with The Friday Huddle tonight.
Jay Clark caught up with Kink at the Collingwood President’s Function ahead of the Pies games against the Blues, and the big fella was in fine form when asked about his favourite player these days.
Kink said his favourite player is Dustin Martin, because he loves “players that hurt you centre forward”.
“It’s like Scotty West. Six best and fairests at Footscray, what a bag of crap!” Kink said.
“I got the ball off the half back line 27 times each match and I got BOG each week.
“Have a look at the scoreboard.
“I’m into players, the old Geoff Raineses, the Maurice Riolis, the players that can go back but also go forward and hurt you.
“They’re the players that win games.”
Luke Darcy was quick to point out that Scott West actually won seven best and fairests at Footscray and The Western Bulldogs.
