Andrew Lee has been jailed for eight years for manslaughter for the one punch attack that killed Melbourne teenager Patrick Cronin.
Lee will serve a non-parole period of 5 years.
19-year-old Cronin had played a game of senior football with Lower Plenty earlier in the day, and was out celebrating with some mates at Diamond Creek’s Windy Mile bar in April last year when a fight broke out.
Cronin attempted to break the brawl up and was punched by Lee.
He died the next day due to bleeding on the brain.
Lee pleaded guilty to manslaughter in September after changing his play.
Lee’s brother was fined for harassing a witness last year, after urging a witness to retract a statement made to police.
