Melbourne is getting a new surf park built - and it's bloody huge.
URBNSURF has revealed their plans to build Australia's first surf park out near Melbourne Airport.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with URBNSURF predicting it'll be open to the public by Eastern 2019.
The company aims to use world-leading wave technology as well as its north-south orientation to maximise the realism of the waves.
It'll include LED lightning so you can surf night and day, as well as food and drink outlets, skate ramps, playgrounds, surf training facilities and beach cabanas.
"Located just 23 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, URBNSURF Melbourne unlocks these limitations and allows surfers to enjoy their sport safely, more easily and more often," their website writes.
"Surfing in Melbourne? Now it’s possible."
The company also has plans in place to build facilities in Sydney and Perth.
