The intense downpour of rain in Melbourne has caused havoc on transport.
The city copped heavy rain around 1pm that has caused flash flooding in various areas, including in Ivanhoe, which led to the Hurstbridge train line having to be suspended between Clifton Hill and Heidelberg.
Meanwhile, the Frankston line has major delays due to flooding near Highett, Mordialloc and Aspendale.
These delays are in addition to planned works on the Alamein, Belgrave and Lilydale lines due to planned works.
