Myki fares are set to rise by an average of 4.7% in 2018.
A full-fare zone 1 and 2 two hour trip will go up from $4.10 to $4.30, while a daily fare will go from $8.20 to $8.60.
The fare increases will take effect from January 1.
The government will also be making off-peak travel free for groups of primary school students between the hours of 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Carers of people with disabilities will be given free travel on the entire weekend after previously only having the privilege on Sundays.
